The increased need for noise decrease, thermal insulation for reducing heating costs, and the resilience of external environmental and human factors, led to the creation of glazing sealed units made of two, three, or even four sheets of glass of different thickness and its optional filling with inert gas. The glazing seals air between the glass sheets using two bitumen and silicon-based barriers, thus forming an excellent insulation to the cold and contributing to the comfort of the room. The best thermal insulation is achieved by using various multifunctional types of glass.

Glazing unit thickness

This is a very important factor of great significance which is often underestimated. About 90% of the window surface is glass. This is the thinnest element (about 30mm) in the entire building. Increasing the distance between the glass sheets improves mainly the thermal insulation and less the sound insulation, and by increasing the thickness of the glass - it mainly improves sound insulation and less the thermo-insulation.

The addition of a third glass sheet in the sealed unit improves the sound insulation, it is also very useful for thermal insulation in glass packs over 28mm and is useless (even harmful) for thermal insulation in thinner glass units. Good quality additional materials such as a hermetical seal for the periphery of the glazing unit, the various molecular dehumidifiers embedded in the distance piece, as well as the piece itself, combined with the technology and the technological discipline of glazed sealed units production, greatly determine the reliability and its durability.

Our production process of glazing units is fully automated, starting from cutting the glass and the distance piece, the washing of glass in a washer, automatic filling of the distance with a dehumidifier, applying a primary sealant (butyl), assembling the unit in a precision press and ending with robotized application of the secondary sealant (silicone or polysulphide).

The glazing units are processed by machines and production lines from reputable manufacturers such as FOREL and BYSTRONIC
